Sunday Recap

It was an amazing Sunday- We had Crave tonight…I love the high school girls group that Cassie and I lead. They are amazing and truly get it. It is such a privilege for me to get to see them grow in Christ and grow closer to one another. I can see it in them…a desire to know Him more and become more like Him. They are so real and honest…it reminds me to be the same, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to talk with them in small group time. I had a girl who was in the group today say to me afterwards: “I didn’t want to say anything, but then when I saw other girls opening up I felt comfortable to open up, too.” That’s amazing and God has done some awesome things in our group. I see Him working in our group every time we meet. I see the girls growing closer to each other, they are talking with each other outside of Crave and going to each other to talk about stuff going in their lives. I would ask that you be praying for them as so many of them are going through tough things, of course being in high school itself can be pretty tough. The girls are awesome, and I can’t wait to see how God continues to work in their lives.

This morning was awesome, too!! I loved the music- it rocked. The new series seems like it’s going to be great…it’s something everyone can relate to. Everyone has issues in their family and most know that it’s incredibly difficult to separate from them or distance yourself. I can’t wait to hear more next week!

We started a new series in Powerhouse today, too. Adventures in Science. It freakin’ rocked. Adam was awesome as the crazy scientist guy! The kids loved it and thought it was hilarious… They talked about the Earth and how God created it so it’s important to keep it clean and take care of it. It seems like such a simple thing, but I think one so many overlook. I think the kids got it, too. I love that they can have fun while learning what God has to say in His word…they are laughing their heads off, but learning about Jesus at the same time. I love it!

It was just a great Sunday…and now I feel refreshed, slightly exhausted, but refreshed at the same time- Ready for a new week and looking forward to next Sunday.
