He Sees

I am still reading Chasing Daylight, by Erwin McManus. I had to take a short break for a while and focus a little more on reading stuff for school…not nearly as fun, but sometimes you have to!

Anyway, I read more today and I want to share a excerpt that I enjoyed:

But these are the critical elements to capture in this realm of faith: there are endless possibilities waiting for us, much of the life that God longs for us to live is just one choice away, and so much of the fullness that Jesus promises us is lost at the character level. When we sacrifice our character, when we choose a path that lacks integrity, we are trying to take life into our own hands. It is a declaration that we do not trust the way of God. We are trying to control what we were never intended to control, and at the same time, we are relinquishing control over that for which we are responsible.

I loved that…Especially when he says how the amazing life God longs for us to live, is sometimes just one choice away. We have the option to choose to listen or not to listen to what God wants for our lives, and if we just listen I believe we would find His amazing plans for our lives being revealed. I know sometimes for me, it can be hard to listen…listening and obeying isn’t always easy and you might very well get grief for your choices from some around you. He definitely doesn’t say that listening is going to be the easiest option…I do believe however, it will all come together in the end and never forget: God sees it all…
