Weekend Recap

Our weekend has been a crazy and fun one. Friday we helped with the food drop that C3 partnered with Feed the Children to do. What an amazing day. It was a gift from God that we could help those 400 families and I cannot wait to do it again. I’m incredibly grateful to be a part of a community that truly loves and shows it. Being there on Friday was so humbling and made me realize how much more I can be doing. It made me realize that you don’t have to go overseas to help people…there are so many in need right here. Darrell’s blog about this was exactly what I’m talking about. I wish I could feed all of those needy families…the ones that walked miles in the heat just to get some food to provide, the ones that had children that couldn’t play because they had no shoes, the ones that had beautiful children that all deserve a chance…all of them. It was just an amazing thing to be a part of…again, I am so grateful to be a part of C3.

Saturday both of our families came in town and we spent some time with them. Matt’s family spent the night at our house and came to C3 on Sunday. His parents, brother, and grandmother all came…they loved it! Even his grandmother (who is over 70 years old) said she thought our Pastor was amazing, and she said the music was great! Matt’s brother said that everything Pastor Byron said was so real and he loved how relevant the message was to his life. One major thing everyone noticed was how diverse we were and they thought that was amazing- his dad actually said how most churches can be like country clubs but he thought C3 was the exact opposite. Even though I feel the exact same way about everything they said- it was so encouraging to see people who had walked into this church for the first time feel the same way.

It was just an amazing weekend topped off by a great Sunday morning at C3.

I’ll be posting some pictures from Friday soon….but now I’m going to enjoy our night off (no crave) with Matt :)

One more thing, Happy Mother’s day to all the mom’s out there. What would we do without all these amazing mothers. Matt and I are grateful for both of our moms!
