Weekend Recap

So it’s been another crazy weekend. Friday we went to The Bledsoe’s to celebrate Kayleigh’s 18th birthday/high school graduation. It was a blast- we ate, hung out, some went swimming, and then we all watched Juno! Which, by the way is an amazing movie! I love Juno’s character…she’s so witty.

Saturday morning we went to the Financial Learning Experience. I was amazed at how much I learned. I have to say, I wasn’t the most excited about going seeing as I hate dealing with money and numbers and all that, but I really enjoyed learning all that was taught. Joe Sangl did an awesome job of making the learning fun and easy to understand. It was also good for me to hear, being the spender in my family :) I needed the wake up call!

The guys had a double header in softball later that night. I’m dismissing the first game in my head, but the second one they rocked!! They were winning by so much they called the game early- the slaughter rule came into effect :) We all went to Gators after that for some wings!  It was a busy but fun day…

Then, today was a wonderful Sunday. It never ceases to amaze me when I see how dedicated our volunteers are. More than that- they are so flexible. They will do what it takes to get it done, even if that means doing something they aren’t used to. It’s awesome!

What Pastor spoke about this morning was amazing- I felt like he was talking right to me on some of the stuff. He was talking about how sometimes when we want God to move in some area of our lives we just sit there and wait on Him…when in reality some of the time, He has already told us what He wants us to do and He’s waiting on us to obey. It seems so simple when I hear Pastor say it, yet it can be hard to apply that sometimes. I always try to remember, though, how much better off I am by obeying God. As difficult as it may seem in the moment it will help me so much in the long run.

I’m so grateful our church and our church family…and I’m so grateful for how God uses our Pastor to communicate real stuff that we can apply to our lives now. I’m so grateful for our God and His grace and love….

Love Wins
