So Grateful!

So I didn’t blog yesterday because I was so busy and by the time I got home I was exhausted! I babysat the entire day and then had a meeting with all our children’s ministry directors to catch up on things coming up for the summer. We also talked about the strengths and weaknesses of our specific ministries. I love what I do with Powerhouse and meetings like this are awesome for stepping things up! It’s great to be able to be around the other directors- they are all awesome and such a great at what they do. I’m grateful to be able to serve with them. I’m so excited about things coming up with children’s ministry and some awesome opportunities to reach out to new children! :) 

When I finally came home I got to spend some time with Matt. I’m so grateful for him and the fact that he just gets me. I don’t have to say anything at all and he knows what I’m thinking and feeling. He made dinner for me because he knew how exhausted I was and I was so thankful for that! Of course, he does make dinner for me a lot so… :) What can I say…I’m a little spoiled, he’s amazing and I don’t know what I would do without him! God has truly blessed me with having my husband be my best friend, too. I’m so grateful for that and for Matt. 

Later I got to talk with Kayleigh on the phone for a while. I’m so glad God brings amazing friends into our lives that we can do life with and that just get us. Our friendship is an extremely rare thing, the kind of friendship that many probably don’t get to experience, and I am so glad I have that! So many people go through life without experiencing what true great friendship is about…I’m so thankful that I am not one of those. I’m so thankful for my ‘roots’! 

I’m learning more and more everyday that God is such an amazing provider and awesome things can happen when you just learn to obey Him! I’m so grateful for our God and how patient He is with us and how much He loves us!
