So I missed blogging yesterday because we were at Wet N’ Wild with Barry and Kayleigh most of the day. We were planning on going bowling with a bunch of friends later that night but we were exhausted…I didn’t have the energy to do anything but sit!
I’ve been thinking more and more about Sunday and what Pastor Byron talked about. I think so much of the time we go through life so quickly (I know I usually do) always in a hurry or in a rush to get somewhere…but when I do that I find myself not being able to see others the ways Jesus wants us to. I’m allowing myself to miss amazing opportunities to show others Christ’s love and to just plain help. I have to change this. I pray that God would help me see…help me see others’ story, their needs, and who they really are. So much of the time I write people off…making excuses for why people act the way they do…when in all reality what do I know about who they are or what they could be going through in their lives. Alison’s blog talks about this and she explains it perfectly!
I pray that immediately I would start to see…and then to do something about it. I don’t want to just see their needs and watch them go by anymore…I want to help.
I can’t wait to see what God is going to do in this city…I know there are greater things still to be done. And I am so grateful that He is the hope to the hopeless…
You’re the light in this darkness
You’re the hope to the hopeless
You’re the peace to the restless
You areFor there is no-one like our God
There is no-one like our GodGreater things have yet to come
Greater things are still to be done
In this city
Greater things have yet to come
And greater things have still to be done here
