Today was the last Sunday of the One Prayer series. We heard from Perry Noble who is the Pastor of New Spring Church in South Carolina. It was an awesome message and his one prayer for the church was to ‘Make Us Dangerous’. He challenged us to not walk around with our heads down in frustration, but instead walk with Jesus in anticipation of what He’s going to do in our lives next. This hit me right in the face…so much of the time I walk around being frustrated with circumstances instead of believing and trusting in God…
We got to watch the baptisms after church today. I love C3 and even though Sunday’s can be tiring it’s totally worth it! Every life matters and I’m grateful to be a part of a church that believes that and shows it.
Matt and I have great friends. I’m just so thankful for being able to be real with people and feel such a sense of comfort with our true friends. Just knowing you can be yourself around someone, saying what you feel and not having to pretend means everything. It’s also amazing having those friends that are always totally honest with you…trust is incredibly important.
Change stinks sometimes…it’s uncomfortable but I’m constantly reminded that God has a plan and He works everything out for our good. Sometimes it doesn’t seem like it at first, but in the end we can see His purpose. It’s funny…sometimes I love change and then sometimes I will run far away from it…I mean, I’m all about change when it involves new stuff- you know, new house, new car (Range Rover), or whatever. Just kidding… :)
Well…time for bed. Even though I got a nap in, it’s been a long day! :)
