Weekend Recap

The weekend was great…we started off Saturday morning helping out with the Avalon yard sale to raise money for a great cause! You can read all about it on the Women of C3 blog. It was such a success!

This morning at C3 was awesome…It was the one year anniversary of the sale of the old campus. It’s incredible to think of the things God has done as a result of that and it’s exciting to think of the things He will do in the future. I can’t wait to see what else God has in store for this community!

Pastor spoke about another thing we wish Jesus hadn’t said…how He wants us to give up that one thing that is holding us back from living the life He wanted for us. He referred back to this story. Pastor reminded us that Jesus wasn’t asking everyone to ’sell all their possessions and give to the poor’ rather He’s asking us to give up that one thing that we aren’t willing to give up…that one thing that we know isn’t right but we do anyway…

So many times in my own life I know things aren’t right, but I want to take the lazy way out and keep doing them…instead of addressing the issues and listening to what God’s trying to tell me.

I’m grateful for the message this morning and for C3…

I have so many more thoughts but no clue how to articulate them right now…maybe tomorrow I’ll be better with my words…
