…to post a couple pictures of Princess from our trip to Jacksonville. I  know I mentioned it, but she isn’t a fan of riding in the car because we make her ride in her cage. She definitely does not hide her unhappiness. I love the first picture because she looks so vicious…she’s not actually trying to look like that but she rests her face against the bars and that’s how she looks!

I love how she tries to look so sad by putting her paw on the cage…as if she were saying- please let me out of this jail… :) She’s crazy! 

I married the man of my dreams! Today is Matt and my 2nd wedding anniversary. These past two years have been the best of my life because of who I have gotten the privilege of sharing it with. I am incredibly blessed to have a husband who is always striving to live his life for Christ, who unconditionally loves me, and who is my best friend. 

Matt- I love you more than words could describe and I can’t wait for what the future has for us. Thank you so much- for the greatest two years, for being the greatest husband,  for loving me when I made it difficult to, thank you for being my strength when I had none, for always having your priorities straight, for being my best friend, thank you for your unconditional love, your smile, your hugs and so much more I could go on forever. I love you with all my heart- Happy Anniversary!

I always read the PostSecret blog every Sunday or Monday after they have posted their new secrets for the week. Maybe I’m crazy but I think you can truly feel their pain when you read the secrets…It breaks my heart every time I read these as you can see so many of these people are desperate for something…anything that will easy the pain they feel in their lives. I’m glad PostSecret is a place for so many to reveal themselves and not feel judged…it’s a safe place for many. If you haven’t checked their blog out, I would encourage you to do so-It’s eye opening in so many ways…

This morning was amazing. Pastor Byron continued the Hey Jude series today, and one thing he said that really stuck out to me was this: “We’re not Christ-meeters, we’re Christ-Followers”.  We don’t just meet Christ and then go on living the same- we must follow Him and do our best to become like Him. I know I have tripped up many times and I’m thankful we have a God who still loves us and helps us get back up again…I can’t wait to hear more thoughts from the staff throughout the week HERE.

Powerhouse was rockin’ as always! This series is all about the fruits of the spirit. Today the skit was teaching faithfulness. They showed the kids that it’s important to follow through with what you commit to even if something more fun comes along that you would rather do. The hosts and actors do such a great job of making it fun but also teaching at the same time! 

I love C3!! 

P.S.- I’m excited because Matt and I celebrate our 2 year anniversary on Tuesday! I love my hubby! :)

Today has been a long day…

We got up around 7:30am so we could be at the Apple store by 9. Yep, I decided it was worth waiting in line for the new iPhone. :) It ended up being easy and fairly quick though…we only waited for about an hour and I got one! It’s been fun to play with but I have to admit, the main reason I got one was so that Matt could get rid of his go phone and take my old one. There’s not too much of a difference between the two…but the GPS will be nice to have for trips! We have a tendency to get lost sometimes… :)

After that we had to run some errands and then get our passports taken care of. Getting your passports can be a pain when you wait until the last minute, but we’re going to the Bahamas in a few weeks so we needed to get that done ASAP. We are so excited about the trip though!

We then attempted to play golf with my mom and sister…I tried to hit a few, but I mostly made big holes in the ground due to my lack of knowing how to hit! It was still fun driving around the golf cart :) 

It’s been great spending time with our families the past couple days. Yesterday we saw our nieces and got to hangout with Matt’s family…it was great to have some quality time with our nieces since we haven’t seen them in almost 4 months!!

Anyway- It’s been a busy Friday and now I’m exhausted so I’m off to relax with my hubby :)

Today has been…one of those days…I’m really not feeling well. I just have felt so blah all day. Maybe it’s because it rained a couple times today and that doesn’t really agree with my sinuses all that well…hopefully I’ll feel better tomorrow. 

This morning was still amazing! I loved the start of the Hey Jude series and can’t wait to hear more. I love C3 and was reminded today how passionate I am about this community of faith! I am also so grateful for true friends…It’s such a priceless thing to be able to say you have people in your life you know you can count on no matter what. That is something that not too many people can say they have and even if you have just a couple- it’s an incredible blessing! 

I also have to say…Powerhouse rocked this morning!! I love the new Berry Blast set…it looks phenomenal. And I was pretty excited about the cotton candy they gave away this morning :) Most importantly the kids seemed to really enjoy it and I think it’s going to be a great series that they learn a lot from. (Also, our actors look pretty hilarious in those crazy costumes!)

More tomorrow- I’m going to go spend time with my amazing husband! :)

P.S.- I hope everyone got a copy of Barbaric Grace…I just finished it this past weekend and it was phenomenal!

I just finished Barbaric Grace today. What an amazing journey God placed C3 on and what a real life story we now have to tell. We have a story that encourages, gives hope, shows Gods amazing faithfulness, reminds us of how much one life is worth, and so many more things. As I read, I felt and remembered, and just like Pastor wrote in his book- It was all worth it. There are a couple parts of the book I wanted to share but in all honesty, I loved it all…I just can’t type the whole book :)

“Change brings conflict, when conflict comes we can bolt, or we can fight through it to arrive at the vision. This is at the core of Barbaric Grace.” - p.79

“Therefore, Barbaric Grace: The Journey of a Revolution is not just my story. It is our story. It is what has happened to an extraordinary community of faith that truly loves God and loves others- a people who made up their minds to devote themselves, regardless of the cost.” - p.157

If you haven’t read it, you must. It’s an amazing book with an incredibly story that isn’t even close to over! I can’t wait to see what God is going to continue to do through C3 Church and I know I am thrilled to a part of this movement. A movement where God comes first and His Word is always true, a movement where people are loved no matter what they look like or what problems they come with, a movement where church is a place for real people and where real issues that we deal with on a daily basis are discussed…

A movement where love…it will be fought for and it always wins…
