That was the start of the craziest, scariest,  and one of the most wonderful days of my life! Sometimes Matt and I still can’t believe God has blessed us with a child. I never knew it was possible to love a little baby as much as we love ours. He has brought us so much joy- a joy that I honestly can’t describe with words. Aiden has shown me what it is to have someone truly 100% depend on you and I can’t imagine life without him! I love my little family and I love watching Matt with Aiden- He is the greatest dad! It’s so fun to watch them hangout together :) And it’s so fun watching Aiden develop and do funny, different things almost every day!

Having Aiden has also given me such a different & fresh perspective on God’s love for us…being a parent now…and thinking about what God did for me….giving his one and only son for me. I can’t imagine His pain…watching his Son go through what He went through on the cross. It reminds me how much He must love us & I am so very grateful for that life changing love.

Who knew my little tiny baby (who isn’t quite so tiny anymore!)could teach me so much…Aiden has truly changed our lives! I’m so thankful for him and for that day 6 months ago… (even though it was stinkin’ scary at times) I wouldn’t change a thing!

Before you know it 2010 will be over… It has been such a great year full of so many blessings! I couldn’t even begin to describe how much God has blessed us this year…of course with our baby boy but in so many other ways, too. I’m so thankful for my sweet husband and little family.

Anyway-

Our little guy is doing so great- such a chill baby! :) AND he sleeps 8 and 1/2 hours at night- that’s all I can ask for!

Aiden <3

I can’t believe he’s finally here- and almost a month old at that! Time has flown by crazy fast! Matt and I are so blessed with our sweet baby boy- he was only 5lbs 13 ounces when he was born but he’s quickly making up for that! :) Life has definitely been crazy but thankfully we’re getting some sleep…not my 8 hours that I’m used to but I can’t complain ;-)

It’s still crazy to Matt and I that we are parents! Who am I kidding…I’m still kind of a kid :) We love it though- definitely can be overwhelming at times with a newborn but wouldn’t trade it for anything! I’m so thankful for my sweet family…Matt is the greatest husband- I don’t know what I would do without him- he’s so helpful and just flat out amazing!

Princess is adjusting well, too :) She’s definitely not used to not being the baby but she’s learning to love Aiden ;-)

I’m so grateful that God has blessed me with my wonderful little family!

It was exciting because yesterday we got some big stuff for the baby. A stroller, swing, and play yard! Some of my family got it for me…and we’re SO appreciative because- let’s be honest- baby stuff is stinking expensive!! Who knew such little people could cost so much and require so much stuff. We’ve gotten most of our big items with the exception of a couple things but still need a ton of stuff…did I mention that I had no idea babies require so much stuff?! ;-) I guess they make up for it in cuteness! I’m very thankful for my sweet hubby who puts all of this stuff together…you’d think some of it would come somewhat put together….NOPE! :) And they like to give you very little directions also… it’s quite amusing at times! ;-)

Anyway-

I know it’s now Wednesday and Sunday was a few days ago, but Sunday at C3 was amazing! I love our church- seriously. I’m so grateful for a real place that meets you where you are. I can’t wait for the new series this Sunday- check it out here! We also had our first 413 group on Sunday night- I missed hanging with our 413 students each week- it was awesome!

Not only is this Sunday a new series at C3… Colts football is back! :) I’m pretty excited about their first regular season game…Matt’s already informed me multiple times that I need to try and chill during the games. I guess he doesn’t want me getting all worked up and going into labor or something… ;-) What? I’m just a little passionate about my team! :)

I can’t believe how fast this year has gone by…I remember celebrating the new year like it was yesterday! I have a feeling it’s only going to go by faster and faster with all these babies being born and weddings happening! It’s exciting :)

So it’s getting late – I need to head to bed or I will be totally unproductive tomorrow…and I have lots to do so that’s not really an option!

So….about the story I said I’d tell in a minute. We were supposed to move at the end of this month- we found a house, signed a lease, were about half packed…and then that very same day we signed the lease the owners decided they didn’t want to rent it anymore. Yeah- I’m not kidding. We had about 6 days left in August and already told our current landlord we were moving out and had nowhere to live. I freaked… But in the end it all worked out. Our current landlord is letting us stay for a a bit longer and through this we realized even more that God has a plan- this was just part of it. I kept trying to remind myself that them springing this on us didn’t shock God- He knew it was going to happen and He’s never let us go homeless before. It was nerve racking but we’re thankful because for many reasons, staying where we are is going to be better for us for now.

It’s amazing to me how He knows all…He knows what’s TRULY best for us. I thought I knew, but I was wrong and now…I see that very clearly. I’m so grateful He protected us from what could have been a not great living situation… I’ve learned so much recently about God’s amazing protection. He’s right by us…even when we don’t see it- He’s protecting us. I am amazed at His unending love for us- a love that I know I can say, I do not deserve. I’m so grateful for His provision and His timing…even though sometimes I feel like I’m begging God to hurry up on some things…when His timing is right, they will happen and it’s then that I see His timing was so much better than my own.

I’m so so thankful for my loving husband- seriously- he’s amazing! I cannot believe we’re about to be parents and there is no one I would rather share this journey with. He’s going to be the most incredible dad and is already the most incredible husband! I’m so lucky to have him ;-) He’s been there for me every step of the way through anything & everything for the past 8 years and always supported me…and he works so hard for our family!

I am truly blessed- not only do I have Matt but we have awesome friends! It’s so great to have people to share your life with and people to help you through it….people to laugh with and just do life with. It’s great to have people who you know truly love you for you and care about what’s going on in your life. I’m grateful for my bff Kayleigh and everything that God has truly protected her through!…read about it here. God was truly right there with her…I’m so glad she’s okay!

…I’m so thankful for so many things- C3 among them!! I love being at C3 every Sunday and LOVE my C3 family! It’s just such a real place where real life is discussed. I’m grateful for our C3 staff who sacrifice so much and work so hard to make it an authentic, genuine place.

I’m remembering this week that found people, find people and saved people, serve people….and not just this week- but always.
