C3 Sunday

This Christmas season has been one like no other for us. We partnered with C3 to adopt a family in need of help this season. I have never been so humbled and never felt such a need to give this Christmas. This family has a chance of being evicted on Christmas Eve…they are back a few months rent and are in desperate need of help. I know people are always weary of giving money to a stranger, but she doesn’t even want to see a dime of it. She wants it to go straight to the landlord. All she wants is to be able to keep her home for her family. If you are interested in partnering with Matt and I in helping this family, please just comment and I’ll get you all the info you need. Please be praying for this family and so many others!

I am so incredibly grateful for C3– This past year in the theaters has been amazing! C3 has challenged me in so many ways and has helped to grow my relationship with Christ in ways I never imagined. To see all the faces this Sunday…was…well… indescribable. I was without words as I looked in on the 10:30am service to see it packed full. I am just so grateful for many things….Mostly I am grateful for our Savior being born. He saved me and gave me life- we would be nowhere without Him and His unconditional love.

Love Wins…C3 is living proof…

Sunday Recap

It was great being back at C3 this Sunday! We missed it last week so this was the first week of Christmas Vacation we heard. I love this series so far…it rings so true in our lives! Christmastime can be a crazy, hectic, and stressful time of year if you let it be. It was great to be reminded of that this morning. So much of the time, things are what we make of them and I know I’m one of those people who makes things way worse than they need to be! I have this tendency to worry about things that haven’t even happened yet… Again, it was great to be reminded this morning that most of the things we worry about are things we create ourselves.

I love Sundays at C3- they are great and refreshing. It’s great to be with our C3 family and worship in such an authentic environment. I love it and I absolutely can’t wait until next week. I can’t wait to see all the families who come and I can’t wait to hopefully sit with our family who will hopefully come, too! We’ll be seeing them again on Tuesday so I should find out then!

I know feeding these 100 families is going to make a huge impact in their lives but I honestly think it’s going to make just as big, if not a bigger, impact on the families that get to help. I know for us, its been incredibly eye opening and humbling…Its been amazing to hear the stories from everyone and to see how people have connected with their families.

I love C3 and I love Feed the families…can’t wait to see what the future holds!

Love Wins :)

Feed the Families

We finally got to meet our adopted family this week. We were one of the ones who couldn’t get a hold of ours…but it was so great finally getting to meet with them and chat with them for a few minutes. It definitely helps to put things into perspective when you see people who are struggling so much and who are so grateful for even the littlest things. I’m so excited for the 21st- hopefully our family will be able to join us at C3!

Matt and I are grateful for this opportunity…I love being part of a church like C3- where they actually get their hands dirty and get out in the community to make a difference! Instead of just staying where is comfortable they reach out to people right where they are. I know God is going to use so many people during Feed the Families.

I’m also excited for this Sunday. We missed last week because we were on vacation so we haven’t been able to hear any of the Christmas Vacation series. Plus…I love Christmas music :) I haven’t had a chance to yet, but I plan on listening to Sunday morning sometime this week. You can do that here. I know I’ve said it before, but love that they have the messages online!

Can’t wait for Sunday and can’t wait to see our family again next week!!

Love Wins :)

Weekend Recap

It’s been a crazy fun weekend! Friday Matt and I went ‘black Friday’ shopping. It was crazy…we’ve done the black Friday shopping thing plenty of times, but this was the first year we went to Wal-Mart…oh boy. That was an experience. I’ve never seen people run to an item because it’s on sale for one dollar off the normal price…people come on…its ONE dollar.

Anyway…now we’ve got most of our Christmas shopping done- just a few things left :) That’s always a great thing. Saturday we went to see Four Christmases with Barry and Kayleigh…it was hilarious! Seriously one of the best movies I’ve seen in a while…I think everyone should go see it :)

I won’t talk about the FSU game we watched after the movie….

Anyway…C3 this morning was great…We still haven’t been able to get a hold of our family but hopefully we will soon. I can’t wait to hopefully meet them soon! I’m so excited to hear about everyone’s families and to see the impact being made on so many people’s lives. I especially can’t wait until the 21st when hopefully all the families will join us at C3!

Well I’m gonna go rest now…Matt and me are both sick :( Hopefully we’ll feel better soon!

Check this video out, it’s the trailer for Four Christmases!
